Get to Know Xillium

Xillium is a homegrown Clinical Support Outsourcing (CSO) company hailing from the City of Love in the Philippines – Iloilo City. Founded in 2011, its two pioneers, Vanessa Belleza and Don Wickelgren, an Ilongga, and an American respectively, have challenged the landscape of healthcare services in both the US and our country.

They believed that virtual assistance could extend beyond business-to-business setups and into the medical field. The company started its humble beginnings with a 5-person structure and has now grown to a full-scale organization with several office sites and expanding every year.

Winning within is a big part of our company and we try to embody this in our work practice toward our employees. We encourage the perfect balance between work and life because we believe that winning doesn’t always mean being on top – it may also mean that personal growth is just as important as your career growth.

We try to develop an open working environment that promises learning on the job and motivating you to strive for the best version of yourself. As you begin your winning journey with us, our employees are always ready to give you a helping hand.

Open Culture

Our open office structure and design is a physical extension of our company’s open and progressive culture. We support the individuality and creativity of each of our employees and, thus, give them the freedom to work in areas they deem appropriate. We have protocols in place for self-reporting of potential security risks and breaches. Our HR staff also provides a safe space for airing of any company or personal grievances. Quarterly town hall meetings are held to discuss company policies and check on each other’s work progress. Other activities to promote this open culture include gender sensitivity and mental health seminars.

Independence

We give our staff as much flexibility as possible to cultivate the culture of independence and self-reliance within our employees. While supervisors and managers are always present to support and mentor, the work setup encourages our staff to take ownership and accountability of their work. Our trust empowers our employees and their trust inspires us to keep thriving.

Fun

We never run out of fun things to do! From costume parties to virtual team games to the vibrant atmosphere at the office, you’re bound to find yourself never bored in the company of our employees. We believe that working hard and playing hard can be done at the same time. A positive work environment is important to keep morale and efficiency high amongst our people. Above all, we want you to be comfortable in your work space and the people you work with. And there’s no better way to do that than engage everyone in lots of fun activities and parties!

Corporate Responsibility

Corporate Responsibility

We consider Xillium as a citizen of Iloilo City. As a citizen, the company offers as much of our resources as we can to help empower and continue building up our local community. Iloilo and Ilonggos have been integral to our growth and development; we try our best to reciprocate this kindness to the best of our company’s abilities. Part of our responsibility as a private corporation is to share our success by lifting up the community along with our own brand, in true Filipino bayanihan spirit.

Education

We believe that education empowers people to live fuller lives. In past company efforts, we were able to launch training programs for teachers, career management seminars for graduating students, and adoption programs for schools in vulnerable areas. Among our many key partners are Calaparan Elementary School, University of Iloilo, and Olotayan Elementary School.

Technology

Technology and online security are at the core of our business services. This puts us in a unique position to help those who are struggling in these areas, especially in a world shaped by the COVID-19 pandemic. We have hosted technology-sharing seminars and, more recently, webinars. We are also in the process of developing tech programs to specifically help educators and healthcare professionals.

Environment

The Philippines has one of the richest biodiversity in the world. However, we are also among the most vulnerable to calamities and the escalating climate crisis. We rally for both the preservation of our natural resources and raising public awareness on environmental issues. Our past efforts include tree planting activities and cleanups, as well as relief and rehabilitation drives during calamities and public emergencies.
